The number of soil sensors you need depends on factors such as field topography, size, crop type and soil characteristics. Based on AgriWeather’s experience, when the goal is to collect crop microclimate data and the land has uniform elevation and similar soil properties, we recommend installing one sensor for every 0.1 to 0.2 hectares.
AgriWeather hardware includes transmission units and sensing units. The transmission cases meet IP65 standards and can last over three years in normal use. The sensing units are consumable and their life depends on the environment. You can rest easy, as every AgriWeather product comes with a one-year warranty.
Don't worry. We’ve built a buffer into the transmission unit so if the connection drops, data is stored locally and then automatically uploaded once it’s back online, ensuring nothing is lost.
